Apache Tomcat의 JSP 컴파일 과정에서 발생하는 TOCTOU(Time-of-check Time-of-use) 레이스 컨디션 취약점입니다. 대소문자를 구분하지 않는 파일 시스템에서 기본 서블릿이 쓰기 권한을 가진 비기본 설정일 경우 원격 코드 실행(RCE)이 가능합니다.

파일을 확인하는 시점과 사용하는 시점 사이의 짧은 틈을 이용해 공격자가 악성 코드를 끼워 넣는 방식입니다. 이를 통해 해커가 서버에서 원하는 명령을 마음대로 실행할 수 있습니다.

Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition vulnerability during JSP compilation in Apache Tomcat permits an RCE on case insensitive file systems when the default servlet is enabled for write (non-default configuration).
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.1, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.33, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.97.
The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are
known to be affected: 8.5.0 though 8.5.100. Other, older, EOL versions may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.2, 10.1.34 or 9.0.98, which fixes the issue.
