Linux 커널의 8021q 모듈에서 VLAN 이그레스 우선순위 매핑을 삭제할 때 메모리 누수가 발생하는 취약점입니다. 기존 코드는 삭제된 매핑을 트임스톤으로 유지하여 반복적인 설정/해제 과정에서 노드가 누적되어 메모리를 고갈시킵니다. 이 취약점은 RCU 보호 하에 매핑을 즉시 삭제하고 노드를 안전하게 해제하여 수정되었습니다.

네트워크 설정을 자주 변경할 때 시스템 메모리가 계속 쌓여 결국 시스템이 느려지거나 멈출 수 있는 문제입니다. 이는 네트워크 드라이버의 버그로 인해 삭제된 데이터가 제대로 정리되지 않아 발생합니다.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
8021q: delete cleared egress QoS mappings
vlan_dev_set_egress_priority() currently keeps cleared egress
priority mappings in the hash as tombstones. Repeated set/clear cycles
with distinct skb priorities therefore accumulate mapping nodes until
device teardown and leak memory.
Delete mappings when vlan_prio is cleared instead of keeping tombstones.
Now that the egress mapping lists are RCU protected, the node can be
unlinked safely and freed after a grace period.
